Event report
Past event | Plastic Pollution: The Solutions Workshop

Throwback on our latest Sustainable Business Committee workshop, sponsored by our Committee Partner ENGIE.
10 members of the Chamber gathered for a 3-hour collaborative workshop “Plastic Pollution: The Solutions Workshop”, facilitated by Luc des Vallières, Head of Partnership at Plastic Odyssey. The workshop combined insights from the Plastic Odyssey expedition with the power of behavioral science.
The Highlights:
The Challenge: Working with 54 illustrated cards featuring real photographs from over 30 countries, participants built a visual mosaic mapping the entire plastic life cycle and its global impacts.
The Solutions: The group explored 30 field-tested, real-world alternatives—like refill systems, bulk sales, and repair networks—bridging the gap between theory and immediate practice.
Collective Learning: The session was engineered to defeat the three main barriers to climate action: perceived complexity, overwhelm, and the “triangle of inaction.”
The Takeaway: By grounding global data in human psychology, our participants didn't just learn about the plastic crisis—they left equipped with the tools and confidence to solve it.
Thank you to everyone who brought their energy and collaborative spirit to the table!
