Past Event | The Future of Talent: AI’s Transformative Role in Recruitment

We were pleased to welcome our members to an insightful discussion on how Artificial Intelligence is reshaping recruitment, co-organised with SwissCham.

As talent markets become increasingly competitive, the panel explored how AI is being integrated across the recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and screening to candidate engagement, skills evaluation and workforce planning.

A big thank you to our esteemed speakers Emmanuel White, CEO & Co-Founder, WeLink Talent, Priya Prakash, Talent Acquisition Lead, MSD, Patrick de Moustier, Managing Director APMENA, Valtech and to our moderator Claire Kolly, Founder & Director, EDLT.global.

Key learnings from the discussion:

  • AI adoption is well underway, though organizations are at very different stages of maturity. Most are already using AI in recruitment, mainly to improve efficiency, while many are still testing tools and figuring out what good practice looks like.

  • AI’s greatest impact so far has been on speed and focus. Rather than replacing recruiters, it helps streamline sourcing and screening, freeing up time for more thoughtful, higher-value decisions.

  • The strongest results are seen at the top of the hiring funnel. AI performs best in areas like sourcing, screening, and skills matching, and it’s increasingly able to surface non-traditional or transferable candidates who might otherwise be overlooked.

  • Trust remains critical. Fairness, transparency and clear communication all play a role in maintaining confidence among candidates and hiring managers.

  • AI is also supporting a shift toward more skills-based, future-ready talent strategies. Beyond hiring, it can improve skills assessment, workforce planning, internal mobility and the development of more flexible talent pipelines, when it’s used thoughtfully and guided by human judgment.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the quality of the discussions. We look forward to continuing the conversation on the future of work and talent.
