As China’s economy is rapidly growing, it has become a market to conquer for most brands in order to significantly increase their market shares. As Chinese consumers are more and more tech savvy, e-commerce is no longer a choice but a necessity to reach out to a wider audience. However, this endeavour is easier said than done, providing the many challenges e-commerce players are facing when dealing with China. 

As a consequence, customers are often frustrated by experiencing slow performances on sites which are not designed for the Chinese market. This can be an impediment to conversion and in the worst case, can hinder the brand’s image and turn the customer away.

This presentation will explore the technical challenges that China introduces (Great firewall, Cyberlaw, ICP license, geography….) and how to overcome them.
