Curious about measuring carbon footprint but not sure where to begin? Get a walk-through of a useful tool to do so!

With the recent Budget 2022 announcement, the Singapore government has new ambitions to reach net-zero emissions by or around 2050, and to raise the carbon tax from $5 per tonne of emissions to between $50 and $80 by 2030. In view of these trends, how can businesses gain an edge in Singapore’s growing green economy, by managing and reducing their carbon emissions?

In this 2-hour practical workshop, Global Compact Network Singapore (GCNS) will share their insights on why carbon management has become a key business strategy, the key regulations on carbon matters, and how you can use the Carbon and Emissions Recording Tool to measure and manage your company’s carbon footprint.

The French Chamber of Commerce, member of the Global Compact Network Singapore (GCNS), is committed to taking part in a sustainable future while promoting sustainable business among its business community.  GCNS is the local chapter of the United Nations Global Compact. As the leading voice on corporate sustainability, GCNS drives multi-stakeholder action to forge a more sustainable future, founded on the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact and the Sustainable Development Goals. Through various platforms and partnerships, GCNS advances the stewardship of sustainable business practices and Singapore’s national agenda of becoming a regional sustainable business hub.  One key initiative is LowCarbonSG, a nationwide capability-building programme, supported by the Enterprise Singapore and the National Environment Agency, to enable businesses to measure and monitor their carbon footprint.
