Amid the dynamic growth of APAC region, discussions will center on how leaders leverage strategies to best capture its immense potential.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) expects a slowdown of global GDP growth at 2.8% for 2023, down from 3.4% in 2022, and Asia Pacific is expected to fuel the growth. Asia is expected to grow continuously at 4.6% in 2023, up from 3.8% in 2022.

Unsurprisingly, China and India are the 2 largest economies in Asia Pacific and will continue to lead the way this year, contributing around half of global growth. Apart from China (5.2%) and India (5.9%), the ASEAN region, including Singapore, will be the next fastest growing economy at 4.6%.

While some of the other ASEAN countries might see a slowdown in growth momentum (monetary tightening in Philippines, commodity prices easing in Indonesia and Malaysia) and weaker external demand from the United States and Europe, Singapore will continue to expand.

The growth for the region will be driven mainly by domestic demand from Asia. This is supported by the savings built up during the pandemic, contributed by lockdown-related spending cuts and more precautionary savings.

In the ever-evolving landscape of the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, growth opportunities are ripe for the taking. The discussions will revolve around how leaders and companies are strategically shaping their business and technological endeavors to best capture the immense potential of this dynamic and rapidly expanding market.

Key Points of Discussion:
