Live Workshop on implementing an OAuth login and protecting pages on the Frontend.
This talk will cover Frontend Authentication using the Auth.js Authentication Library within a Next.js App.
We’ll go through how to implement a simple username/password login, OAuth login (e.g. Google sign-in, etc.), and protect pages on the frontend.
The speaker for this session will be Asyraaf Ahmad, Consultant, Zenika
Asyraaf started his biomedical research and teaching career in Melbourne, Australia, but decided to switch to software development through the SGUS program at NUS-ISS. Since then, he's worked on apps in banking systems, logistics management, and cybersecurity monitoring.
PREREQUISITE
As this is a live coding session, there are some prerequisites. A repo will be made available to train/code later.
However, you will need some knowledge of the following if you want to code along:
- Knowledge of javascript/typescript required.
- Knowledge of frontend frameworks, like react/nextjs, would help significantly in following along, but not strictly required.
