Airbus Commits to Decarbonising Aviation with the Launch of APSAC
Airbus is honoured to be a founding Advisory Council member of the newly launched Asia Pacific Sustainable Aviation Centre (APSAC), created by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS). This bold initiative aims to accelerate collaboration across governments, industry, and academia to advance sustainable aviation policies in the Asia-Pacific region, and to turn ambition into action.
Although Airbus representatives could not be in Singapore for the launch, the company was truly impressed by the strong participation, including Acting Minister for Transport Jeffrey Siow, International Civil Aviation Organization Secretary-General Juan Carlos Salazar, and over 20 Directors-General of Civil Aviation from across the region. The level of engagement sends a powerful signal: there is shared momentum and commitment for meaningful change.
Airbus is proud to be part of APSAC and commends CAAS for its leadership and vision. The company regularly highlights that decarbonising the aviation industry will require an unprecedented cross-sectoral approach — and APSAC is exactly the kind of collective effort needed to drive real progress.
