Alstom is proud to have participated in the official contract exchange ceremony with SBS Transit Ltd, held as part of the State Visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Singapore. The event was jointly hosted by the Ministry of Transport, Singapore, and the Embassy of France in Singapore, and witnessed by Peet Meng Lau, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Transport, and H.E. Stephen Marchisio, French Ambassador to Singapore.
The contract was exchanged between Mr Teo Chun Beng, Head of Signalling, Alstom Singapore, and Mr Koh Boon Yeow, Head of North East Line (NEL) and Sengkang-Punggol Light Rapid Transit (SPLRT), SBS Transit.
This agreement marks the formal launch of Alstom’s patented AI-driven Optimised Timetable for Energy Savings on the North East Line, building on the Letter of Intent signed on 7 November 2024.
