AXA Insurance Partners with Naluri to Support Customers’ Well-being through a Digital Health Coaching Programme

AXA is the first insurer in Singapore to be partnering a provider to offer a mental wellness solution.

AXA Insurance today announced its partnership with digital therapeutics company Naluri, to introduce a digital health coaching programme with a focus on mental well-being for its customers. AXA is the first insurer in Singapore to be partnering a provider to offer a mental wellness solution.

The digital health coaching programme promotes mental and physical well-being through personalised and structured multidisciplinary behavioural and psychological coaching. It can be accessed via the Naluri mobile application and combines behaviour science, data science, and digital design to help users achieve and sustain a healthy lifestyle and improved mental health.

“As a health partner committed to empowering people to live better lives, we want to step up to support our customers in strengthening their mental well-being. The impact of COVID-19 on our economy and the way we live and work further is expected to last for some time, and this has made clear the urgent need for us to take mental well-being seriously,” said Julien Callard, Managing Director, Retail & Health, AXA Insurance.

AXA is rolling out the programme in phases, starting with a pilot that was launched to employees in March 2020 and most recently its financial consultants in May 2020. The programme will subsequently be made available to the insured members of AXA's corporate clients in H2 2020.

“In considering the specific needs of our workforce as well as that of our corporate clients, we identified stress as a common issue that employees in Singapore deal with across all aspects of life, and equipping them to cope with this stress would help employers build a more effective and resilient workforce. In the pilot for our employees, many appreciated the access to the psychologists and this was the top coach type interacted with,” said Callard.

Participants to the programme will enjoy exclusive access to Naluri Lite, a solution specially designed for AXA, which includes features such as behavioural change tools, information and tips, and the option to sign up for personalised coaching via chat by professionals including a dedicated psychologist, dieticians, and fitness coaches among others.

“We are pleased to be partnering with AXA and are excited to be working together as their purpose to empower people to live better lives, aligns with our mission to help people become mentally stronger and more resilient. This partnership has brought about co-creation opportunities, such as the development of Naluri Lite, and we look forward to working with AXA in supporting more people in Singapore in achieving mental well-being, ” said Dr Jeremy Ting, co-founder and President of Naluri.

“In leveraging AXA’s global network to source the best solutions in the mental wellness space, Naluri was a clear choice with their expertise in providing a personalised and convenient digital coaching solution. We are pleased to be partnering with them in supporting our workforce and customers in their health journey,” added Callard.

The partnership with Naluri is an extension of AXA's efforts to bring new services that support the health and well-being of its employees, financial consultants and customers at various stages of their healthcare journey. This includes its recent partnerships with healthtech company Doctor Anywhere to bring medical teleconsultation services to its employees, financial consultants and insured members of its corporate clients, and global fitness aggregator ClassPass to provide wellness solutions that promote both physical and mental well-being.
