Crypto payments firm becomes first SG-based Visa accelerator participant

Visa has selected five fintech startups for the 2022 cohort of its Asia Pacific Accelerator Program, including its first Singapore-based participant TripleA.

The program, which the payments giant introduced in December 2020, is focused on growth-stage fintech companies in their series A rounds and beyond.

The six-month program focuses on developing a proof of concept for the TripleA’s solution. It will also connect participants to Visa’s network of bank, merchant, government, and venture partners as well as provide them with equity-free funding of up to US$50,000.

Licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, TripleA enables businesses to accept crypto payments and can process some of the most popular digital currencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin.

The other selected startups include:

  • India-based Perfios, which does data aggregation and analytics for financial institutions
  • TallyKhata, a digital payments and bookkeeping app in Bangladesh
  • Moneytree,  a Japanese financial data aggregation platform
  • New Zealand-based Cymonz, an international payments and currency exchange platform
