L'Oreal signs 2 Strategic Partnerships for its Brandstorm Initiative

L'Oréal Group (which includes L'Oréal and its 36 beauty brands) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Singapore Management University (SMU) and Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS).

The French company is partnering with these two universities to cultivate innovation and entrepreneurship skills in undergraduates through its L'Oréal Brandstorm programme. It is open to all youth under 30, where successful pitches by student teams are sent to a London final for a chance to earn a three-month entrepreneurship at L’Oréal global headquarters in Paris. Brandstorm is one of the key initiatives under L'Oréal For Youth, which focuses on creating a positive impact on the ecosystem and contributing to youth employment.

Vismay Sharma, President of South Asia Pacific, Middle East and North Africa (SAPMENA) at L'Oreal, said "Every year, we bring the world of start-up innovation challenges to campuses globally through our Brandstorm program. It offers youth a platform and the opportunity to work and develop innovative solutions towards real world business challenges.

In Singapore, we’re taking this a step further. Today, we announced 2 strategic partnerships with Singapore education institutions Singapore Management University and Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS)

Brandstorm will become a part of the curriculum at SMU’s Lee Kong Chien School of Business. It will also be recommended to SUSS's students as a key module. This brings the learning experience beyond the confines of a traditional classroom and into the real world to develop skillsets in entrepreneurship, technological innovation, and digital marketing.
These strategic partnerships with Singaporean institutions further strengthen our commitment to talent development of young Singaporeans.

I am excited for our future leaders in Singapore. And the future is very bright. We were honoured to be joined by  Ih-Ming Chan from Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and French ambassador to Singapore, Minh Di Tang"
