Maersk Tops Reliability Rankings with New East-West Gemini Network
According to SeaIntel’s February report, A.P. Moller - Maersk achieved 94% reliability in the first benchmark of its new East-West Gemini network, which launched in February 2025. The Maersk Gemini Cooperation aims to maintain schedule reliability above 90%, and in February, Maersk ranked as the most reliable among the top 13 global carriers.
Facts and Figures:
Approximately 240 out of 350 vessels have been phased into the East-West Network.
The Asia Pacific shuttle network is fully phased in.
All mainliners departing Asia now operate under Gemini.
Phase-in and phase-out will continue through May.
Around 90 vessels remain active under the former 2M alliance.
June will mark the first full month under the new schedule.
Previously referred to as “The Network of the Future,” the East-West Ocean Network now enters full operation as simply the East-West Network—delivering on its promise of reliability and performance.
