Mandatory Packaging Reporting - ‘Know-How’ Workshop – Tools and Answers
Thank you to Rémi Cesaro, Founder and Director of Zero Waste City , Alix Goursat, Sustainability Leader and Business Development Director at Decathlon Singapore, and Matthew Tan, Legal and Compliance Director Southeast Asia at Pernod Ricard for presenting on the topic of Mandatory Packaging Reporting in Singapore.
In this session, using practical examples, Zero Waste City (ZWC) shared insights about the application of the MPR regulation, strategies and processes for business to utilise, and how to get packaging reporting documents ready in time for the 31 March 2022 submission deadline. The session also covered aspects of how to identify an impactful and meaningful 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) plan and the (pre-collected) common doubts/queries relating to its implementation.
As a special feature – Decathlon Singapore and Pernod Ricard Singapore, both pioneers in their own sector, shared their experiences about their journey in preparing to meet this new regulation thus far.
Zero Waste City is a local engineering consulting business specialised in waste management and material resource optimization supporting businesses to set and meet their Zero Waste Goals. Since 2021, they have been supporting companies belonging to various sectors such as luxury, retail, food manufacturers, performance materials etc., in meeting their compliance obligations towards this newly implemented regulation. During this process, they developed a few easy-to-use tools that tackled challenges their clients were facing during the MPR data reporting preparation as well as in identifying impactful 3R plans.
