Past event| Silver Ageing and Silver Economy: A golden opportunity!
Thank you to our speakers Adele Tan, Group Director (Strategic Planning) at Urban Redevelopment Authority of Singapore (URA), Nathaniel Farouz, General Manager, Head of Senior Living at Keppel Land and Dr. Jit Seng Tan, Medical Doctor and Founder at Lotus Eldercare Private Limited and moderator Jamus Lim, Associate Professor Of Economics at ESSEC Asia-Pacific for this informative session about Silver Ageing and Silver Economy.
Here are some key learnings:
- Ageing is a social issue: all sectors (public, private) need to build partnerships to work towards a common goal of ageing successfully with dignity and leading independent lives for as long as possible
- Preventative is better than cure: more investments need to be made in education, preventive medicine/care and technology for citizens to age healthily
- Silver economy will become the norm: standardised care delivery whilst still focusing on personalised care is the way forward
