Event report
Past Event | The Digital Dilemma: Steering Through Screen Time Challenges with Ease
We had the pleasure of welcoming participants for an interactive workshop at La Petite Ecole, on The Digital Dilemma, which brought together parents seeking healthier ways to navigate their children's screen time without resorting to yelling, convincing, or bargaining.
Led by Noor Bouzid, NBR Coaching and Consulting, this session combined expert guidance with live role-plays, helping participants learn how to approach screen-related conversations with clarity, calm, and confidence using a non-aggressive, permission-based approach.
Throughout the workshop, parents walked away with practical tools and a renewed perspective on digital boundaries at home.
Key reflections included:
- Children absorb behaviours from the world around them
- Screens are impacting family connection and quality time
- Childhood passes quickly, parents must protect it intentionally
- Social skills are learned, not automatic
- Parents play a critical role in shaping their children’s online lives
- A child’s brain is wired through real-world interactions
- Fostering autonomy and critical thinking is essential for growing minds
Thank you to all the participants for making this a lively and meaningful exchange.
This workshop was organised in collaboration with La Petite Ecole.
