Schneider Electric and SIT Sign MOU to Accelerate Sustainability for Manufacturing SMEs

On 23 April 2025, Schneider Electric and the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to help Manufacturing SMEs accelerate their sustainability journey while aligning with the Singapore Green Plan and Forward Singapore initiatives.

This collaboration, signed by Yoon Kim, Cluster President (Singapore & Brunei) of Schneider Electric, and Bernard Nee, Deputy President (Industry & Community) at SIT, aims to:

  •  Support eligible Manufacturing SMEs in reducing energy consumption via subsidized Energy Audits (EA) and Third-Party Assessments (TPA)
  •  Advance the adoption of Energy Efficient Equipment and measures by Manufacturing SMEs towards more sustainable and efficient operations
  • Developing future energy efficiency professionals by providing students with future-ready knowledge through hands-on experience and enriched educational modules, supported by curated Integrated Work-Study Programs (IWSP)
  • Fostering industry innovation and research by leveraging the combined expertise of both organizations.
