Singapore's Green Plan 2030

The Economic Development Board of Singapore (EDB) recently announced that Singapore's sustainability roadmap is not just supported by environmental agencies, but actually has 5 ministries across environmental & sustainability, education, national development, transport, trade & industry backing it.

We will look at new sustainability initiatives across 5 pillars to change the way people in Singapore work, study & play:

  • City in Nature
  • Sustainable Living
  • Energy Reset
  • Green Economy
  • Resilient Future

Examples of initiatives:

- 4x solar energy deployment by 2025

- More R&D resources to support adoption of low carbon alternatives like hydrogen

- Transform Jurong Island into a sustainable energy and chemicals park

- 50% increase in nature park land

- Public rail network will expand to 360km, up from 230km today

- Cycling paths will triple in length by 2030

- Plant 1 million more trees

- All vehicles to run on cleaner energy by 2040

We welcome co-innovation partnerships with global corporates, startups and industry players from around the world to test and commercialise new business models & tech for Asia, from Singapore.
