Sodexo won Singapore Apex Corporate Sustainability Awards 2022

On the 21st of November 2022, Global Compact Network Singapore held the Singapore Apex Corporate Sustainability Awards 2022 celebrating the winning companies and their inspirational and ambitious actions to advance Global Goals.

Sodexo Malaysia & Singapore won the title of the Sustainable Business Apex Winner 2022.

Sodexo received the top honour due to its holistic approach to sustainability, including their outstanding food waste program that aims to bring awareness and transparency to the food waste problem.

The company also works hard to create inclusive working environments and opportunities for differently abled individuals and those from lesser represented sections of society, as well as to educate and engage young people in all aspects of sustainability with their impactful youth programs.

The Guest of Honour, President Halimah Yacob, praised the company saying, “Sodexo Singapore showed unwavering commitment in sustainable practices despite a challenging time of pandemic and supply chain disruptions. They worked closely with their clients, suppliers and employees to reduce and manage food waste, redeploy and retrain staff whose roles have been made redundant by the pandemic, and implement strict controls to ensure supplies are coming from sustainable sources”.
