Webinar: Tackling the myths of global water crisis: Roles Of Business, Public Sector And Society

Water is a cross-disciplinary topic. It is affecting all lives. It does not only touch agriculture, industry and environment, but also economics, finance and politics. Now, what is essential to know for the business sector is that sustainable use of water is a local matter requiring, though, global thinking, according to the well known saying: think globally, act locally.

“Tackling the Myths of Global Water Crisis” was a successful webinar, co-organised with the SwissCham SingaporeBLCC Singapore and Spanish-Singaporean Chamber of Commerce (SpanishCham SG).

We were joined by a distinguished panel of specialists who highlighted that we have all the elements needed to manage the water sustainably, but none of these are currently being properly used.

Thanks to Dr. Cecilia Tortajada (Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy), Tony ONG (Veolia Water Technologies), Dr. Evelyne Fiechter-Widemann (Workshop for Water Ethics - W4W) and Dr. Asit K. Biswas (University of Glasgow) for sharing insights about this compelling topic.

Special thanks go to Manfred Rist (Neue Zürcher Zeitung) for successfully moderating the webinar and to Filliez Fabrice (Ambassador of Switzerland), Marc ABENSOUR (Ambassador of France) and Santiago Miralles (Ambassador of Spain) who delivered remarkable keynotes about water scarcity.
