The International French School (Singapore) Awarded the Prestigious "EFE3D" Certification

The International French School (Singapore) has been awarded the prestigious "EFE3D" certification « Établissement français à l’étranger en démarche de développement durable »- French school abroad with a Sustainability Approach - from AEFE - Agence pour l'enseignement français à l'étranger. This recognition underscores their dedication to integrating sustainability into their educational framework and acknowledges the hard work of their teams.
This certification, developed by the Ministère de l'Éducation nationale et de la Jeunesse, aims to promote and recognise schools committed to comprehensive sustainable practices.

Achieving this label considers various aspects, including educational projects involving active student participation, school life, facility management (water and energy consumption, waste management, combating food waste), local community engagement, and collaboration with regional partners.
The "EFE3D" label signifies excellence in sustainability practices among AEFE-affiliated institutions. In France, this programme is known as "E3D" (École ou établissement en démarche globale de développement durable).

IFS was awarded the highest level, Level 3, which exemplifies their strong expertise in sustainability education. They are excited about the opportunities this certification brings to further enrich their students' learning experiences and contribute positively to their community and environment.
