Robin SipsSupply Chain Manager at Solvay

Robin is Belgian citizen who lived for the past decade in Asia; after 6 years in Hong Kong, he moved with his family to Singapore in 2018.  

Working for Solvay as Supply Chain Manager, he drives the organisation across APAC for the business of Soda Ash & Derivatives - Solvay's historic business that dates back to the company's creation. For those who might not know, Solvay is a Belgian science company, being a global leader in Materials, Chemicals & Solutions. 

In Singapore, Solvay set up a 1,100 square-metre laboratory in 2014 to lead global innovation projects primarily for its business unit Novecare. It focuses on innovations in key sectors such as Home and Personal Care, Coatings and Oil & Gas. Solvay also operates a state-of-the-art alkoxylation plant at Jurong Island since 2015, being the largest of its kind for the company in Asia Pacific

Robin is also a board member of the Belgian Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Singapore. 

He would be delighted to exchange with FCC's members in Singapore about his journey with Solvay into a Digital Transformation accelerated by COVID-19, and he is always open for a discussion around sustainability - diversity within a purpose led organisation
