Join us for an exclusive site visit at the National Supercomputing Centre!

The French Chamber of Commerce is delighted to invite you to its upcoming site visit at a unique Tropical Supercomputing Data Centre : National Supercomputing Centre Singapore (NSCC).

Every bit of data you save on your mobile device is backed up somewhere in a data centre.  Every search engine you use, every AI-prompt you make, is computed on a computer in some data centre (DC).

Here at the National Supercomputing Centre Singapore (NSCC), we care about how much electricity and water we use to provide computing and supercomputing power to our researchers.  We care about our carbon footprint and the heat we throw out into the atmosphere, in order to store, process and transmit the huge amount of data our modern society consumes daily.

This visit will tour NSCC's second data centre facility housing our supercomputer ASPIRE2A, a Cray supercomputer and our latest Nvidia DGX H100 AI supercomputer. These supercomputers consume 3 MegaWatts of power and generate a lot of heat.   

We will explain how our Platinum Green Mark Tropical DC can run such systems without air-conditioner cooling, using hot water direct-to-chip cooling system, ambient air, and a novel designed- and made-in-Singapore thermosiphon rear door cooling system. 

We will show you how we are beginning to use AI, Digital twin and data analytics for managing our DCs for better energy efficiency. We will share our plans to build carbon neutral and even carbon negative supercomputer data centres as an exemplar of how future DCs should be designed, built and operated on the principles of sustainability.
