Chanel Leads Beauty Industry Consortium Aiming to Enhance Traceabi

TRASE is a cross-industry platform aiming to unlock the web of complex supply chains, accelerating sustainable transformation for CHANEL and the wider industry.

Initiated by CHANEL with 15 founding members including L’Oreal, Estée Lauder, L’Occitane, Clarins and Sisley - the consortium will work together to map their supply chains across the whole value chain.  This includes ingredients or components used, their origins, supplier activities, places of transformation and names of supplier – on one digital platform, Transparency-One.

It’s a huge step forward. Through TRASE they hope to map complex supply chains more effectively, building deeper understanding and a greater opportunity to build sustainable supply chains.
