Event report

Past Event | Art & Sustainability, a shared Canvas

For the first session of our Creative Industries Committee, we had the pleasure of hosting an inspiring evening exploring the powerful intersection of Art, Design, and Sustainability.

Held in the vibrant setting of Art Works Gallery, the event was organised in partnership with Art Works and Sunollo, bringing together professionals from the creative and sustainability sectors for a compelling discussion on how artistic and design practices are increasingly embracing environmental responsibility.

The conversation delved into how artists and designers are not only raising awareness of pressing environmental issues but are also actively integrating sustainable practices and innovative technologies—such as the aesthetic and functional use of solar panels—into their work. The panel highlighted how design thinking, when combined with creative expression, can drive meaningful and lasting impact.

A heartfelt thank you to our speakers:

  • Marie Deneux, Artist Liaison at Art Works Gallery & Advisory
  • Cherie Wong, Project Director at The Oval Partnership & Co-President of the French Chamber Creative Industries Committee
  • Nathalie Risteau, Co-Founder at Sunollo

Participants gained valuable insights into the creative processes behind sustainable innovation and the evolving role of the creative industries in shaping a more conscious and resilient future.

The evening concluded with a lively networking session over drinks and nibbles, as guests also had the chance to explore Anthony White’s latest exhibition, further enriching the conversation.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this memorable evening!
