Past Event | France - Singapore Urban Sustainability Forum
On 8 July 2025, the Embassy of France in Singapore, in collaboration with the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore (FCCS) and the French Foreign Trade Advisors (CCE Singapour), successfully held the France-Singapore Sustainability Forum at the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) Centre, with the support of URA and in conjunction with the Singapore International Green Building Conference (IGBC).
This high-level forum brought together French and Singaporean experts to exchange insights and share best practices in the field of urban sustainability.
Discussions focused on multi-scale approaches to green urban development, from bioclimatic urban planning and eco-neighbourhood design to the use of innovative low-carbon materials in construction.
The forum featured leading voices in sustainability and architecture, including:
- Olivier Richard, Urban Planner at Apur, who presented the Bioclimatic Urban Masterplan for Paris
- Dominique Jakob, Architect at Jakob + MacFarlane and Curator of the French Pavilion for the Venice Biennale 2025
- Sonny Chionh, Executive Director, RSP Architects
- Fung Ling Seah, Business VP, Schneider Electric
- Anne Miclo, CTO, ENGIE South East Asia
- Grégoire Virat, Partner, EUROGROUP CONSULTING
- Diana Chin, Director (Planning Policies), URA
- LIM Teck Leong, Director (Physical Planning), URA
- Dr. Stephen Tay, Associate Professor (SERIS)
Following the forum, guests were invited to a cocktail reception at the Résidence de France, providing a convivial setting to continue discussions and strengthen France–Singapore collaboration in sustainable development.
