Event report
Past Event | Construction Collage
The French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore had the pleasure of hosting an engaging workshop on Construction Collage. This workshop was designed to explore the building and construction industry's impact on the climate crisis. The workshop aimed to raise awareness, provide knowledge through data-driven insights, encourage reflection on personal and professional practices, and offer a global perspective on the construction sector's environmental footprint.
During the session, participants delved into critical issues such as climate change, biodiversity loss, pollution, and resource depletion. Participants engaged with 45 game cards covering aspects of urban planning, design, construction, and resource use. They identified and connected cause-and-effect relationships between various industry components, creating comprehensive mind maps to understand the broader environmental and social implications of the construction industry. The workshop concluded with participants proposing and debating potential solutions to the identified issues.
Thank you to the facilitators: Dan Duong, a professional climate workshop facilitator and sustainability consultant, alongside Brice Degeyter, founder at Bizsu for the session.
The event was kindly supported by our committee partner CETIM MATCOR.
