Key learnings:
- Importance of regular check-ins to keep employees engaged, feel valued and make sure they are working in the direction set together with a sense of purpose
- Employees want to grow: encourage them to be open to horizontal job offers and involvement in projects to expand their skills and professional scope, not just job promotion
- Be kind, build trust and allow people to fail – employees will be more engaged and loyal to a leader they trust and who allows them to try things differently
