Past Events | E-commerce in Southeast Asia: Navigating Challenges and Seizing Opportunities
Throwback on our last Retail & Luxury Committee meeting which explored the complex landscape of e-commerce in Southeast Asia.

Participants discussed the unique characteristics of the Southeast Asian e-commerce market, highlighting its specificities in operations, consumer behaviors, and marketplaces.
Key discussion points included:
- The heavy reliance on discounts
- The high cost of customer acquisition (and strategies to address this)
- The challenges in sourcing digital talent.
Looking ahead, the emphasis will shift toward customer retention, enhancing customer experience, adopting omnichannel strategies, and transitioning from a retail-centric to a customer-centric business model.
