A unique opportunity to get insights from key players and connect with the Economic Development Board (EDB) Office for Space Technology & Industry

With the aim of becoming a responsible actor in space, Singapore is devoted to the peaceful and sustainable use of space resources. With the continuous efforts and support from industry players, academia and government agencies, the Singapore space ecosystem has developed and grown significantly and is now home to space companies across the satellite value chain.

With the growth of the internet and the development of satellites that can deliver highly reliable broadband services, satellites play a pivotal role in bridging the digital divide and making a substantial impact on meeting social development goals

While an increase in the number of satellites in orbit has created new opportunities to monitor environmental and human rights issues, it also poses some challenges on sustainability. Emissions from launches and orbital debris are fuelling concerns about the sustainability of current outer space activities. A greater and stronger collaboration is needed across the space industry to tackle these issues and ensure equal access to limited orbital slots, resources mined in space, and jobs within the industry.

In this committee meeting, join us and hear from our speakers - the Office for Space Technology & Industry at Economic Development Board (EDB) and network with key players to get updated information on the Space industry.
